Hello! It's my favorite day of vacation - the first day when the whole vacation is still in front of you.

One series of books that I particularly love to read aloud is Geronimo Stilton. These books are definitely made to be read out loud because there are so many opportunities to read with expression. Plus I want to make sure that the kids hear how this type of reading makes a difference.
Here's an idea for any time in the winter: The Important Book by Margaret Wise Brown.
After reading the book, you can have the kids write their own important book, using the same format as the book. Here's the link to this free and fun activity:
