Yikes - it's Sunday! I'm a day late for everything this weekend.
Any way, it's time for Paula's Storybook link-up at:

Here are two terrific books that I read to my class, and the kids really enjoyed both of them.
The first book is Penguin's Hidden Talent by Alex Latimer. This is the heart-warming story of a penguin who is convinced that he has no talent. His friends take his problem into their own hands by throwing a dud of a party for Penguin. That's when the light bulb goes off: Penguin is a talented party planner.
This second book, The Long, Long Line by Tomoko Ohmura, shows this very long line of animals waiting to get on a ride. At the end, we learn that the ride is actually a roller coaster ride on the back of a whale!
Learning to wait in line patiently is a skill most kids need to work on - especially at this time of year.
Yesterday I went to TJ Maxx to pick up a few items, and the line was long with everyone buying gifts.

Consequently, Penguin plans his own party which is a total success:
The illustrations are bright and colorful. Plus the kids loved all the fun "extras" Penguin had at his party.

Great books, I will be searching for both to add to my library.
