Today I'm trying out a new link-up with Erin at Learning To Be Awesome!
Shopping for my Classroom
Going to Lakeshore Learning is a sure way to spend A LOT of money, but it's so much fun to go there. I somehow lost my student clocks so I had to replace those (I'm sure to find them now) and purchase some other goodies:
Plus, since these pictures show activities that are fun, I'm also linking up with Deidre -who has a beautiful new blog design - from A Burst of First for:
Painting
Last week I was on vacation, and the week flew by! Here are a few pictures about my week:
One of the bloggers I follow recommended checking out an arts and crafts web site: Darby Smart.
When you order for the first time you get a $10 off coupon and free shipping. The above kit cost $10 so I decided I would try it out. Of course, the kit comes with directions and pictures of what your finished product could look like (see above to the right; the 4 small square that say "love"). I saw 4 small canvases and thought four seasons. Plus I had some scrapbook pages with dogs, flowers, seasonal pictures,...So far this is what I have. I'm still working on the finishing touches. At least I got off the computer for a while which is always positive.

Reading for Fun and Work
I do enjoy reading for fun, but lately I've been reading to figure out how to have an impossible to achieve flat belly. I also get to read a lot for my RETELL (teaching English to students whose first language is not English).
Going to Fundraisers
This weekend I went to 3 different fundraisers: one for ALS, a spinathon for the Jimmy Fund and a Kentucky Derby themed party for the Wakefield Public Library:
That's my friend, Paula, on the right.
It sure is fun to share my awesome and fun news with you - thanks for visiting!
Hi I found you through the Weekend Wind Back Linky! I have never heard of Darby Smart but I am definitely going to check out their site. Looks like a productive week. Thanks for sharing.
