Today is Sunday so I
am linking up with Mrs.Laffin's Laughings for A Peek at my Week!
Next week is April vacation week!
Monday
It's a state holiday here in Massachusetts to celebrate Patriot's Day! This is also Boston Marathon Day. Here's what I'm doing:
*Going out to lunch with a friend - probably for a salad to make-up for my poor eating choices today.
*My annual physical is in the afternoon - first appointment after lunch so hopefully I won't have to wait.
Tuesday
My goal to to do more cleaning/organizing around my house and to go spinning. I'm also hoping to meet some school friends for dinner where there is mariachi music.
Wednesday
This should be an exciting and relaxing day since I'm getting my hair cut and colored. I do love sitting under the dryer while my color sets. I'm also hoping to get into my classroom to organize and clean my desk and library.
Thursday
No plans to report yet.
Friday
I'm going to a fund raiser for ALS at a local hotel. There will be a medium there so I'm hoping to see her read some people - kind of a live version of Long Island Medium.
Saturday
The public library is having a fund raiser at night. This year's theme is the Kentucky Derby. I might need to track down something horse related or a big hat to wear. My father reports that he has a horse pin he can give me. That's a start.
Now it's time to link up with Molly at Lucky to Be in First and Deirdre from A Burst of First for Sunday Funday!
Something that makes me very happy is when someone recommends a great new book for me to read. Ms. Ross, a first grade teacher at my school, highly recommended Moloka'i by Alan Brennert. I've just started this book so I can only tell you that it's about a young Hawaiin girl who gets leprosy and goes to live in a leper colony. If you like historical fiction - which I LOVE - you might want to check this book out, too.
Even though there are so many amazing books to read, I sometimes have a hard time finding a good book. That's why finding a good book makes me happy.
Have a great week! Sounds like you have lots of fun plans. :)

I love to read! :) Do you read regular books or electronically? I read on my kindle! :) Sometimes it's hard to get to sleep if I'm reading something really, really good! In the summer, I've been known to read through the night if the book is really good! ;) Glad to find another reading buddy! :) I'll have to check out this title that you mentioned! I love a good historical fiction too! :)

I have read very few books in the last few years but Moloka'i was one of them. I loved it!! Thanks so much for linking up!
