Sunday Funday & A Peek at my Week!

It's another fun day which means it time to link up for:

One way I used to find new and exciting books to read to my students was to check in at www.amazon.com.  I could see the best selling books along with reviews and recommendations for similar books.  Some times I would even buy some hardcover, expensive books, like Clark the Shark.  Then I would see the paperback version in my Scholastic book order; of course, after I had forked over the money.

Now I search my interlibrary loan search option which has recently been upgraded to include recommendations for similar books.  I LOVE Jon Klassen books and got out This Is Not My Hat yesterday at the library:

I typed the book title in the search bar, scrolled down and found more similar books.

Plus I don't have to find a place to store them, and I get to try out the book before deciding to buy it. Now it's time to switch gears to link up with  Mrs. Laffin's Laughings for: Next week is a 4 day week since we have Friday off for Good Friday. On Tuesday, Change is Simple visits us again for another program. We'll be working on more poetry - both reading and writing poems. We will continue to review the Boston Massacre and Tea Party as well as Paul Revere. In Math, we continue to prepare for our Math MCAS (state test) by reviewing lots of math and doing practice tests.
