Positive Thinking & Thankful Thursday!

Happy Thursday!  I'm here today to link up with Jennifer for:

Today's Morning Message was about how the Wampanoags showed their thankfulness every day.  For example, when men cut down a tree, they thanked the tree for giving its life.  Every year, when we study Native Americans, I am so impressed with their way of life and their awareness of taking care of the Earth.

This week I want to share a quote by President John F. Kennedy - whose picture hung in the TV room when I was growing up:

It all comes down to actions saying more than words - so true!

Also, I'm doing another link up with Miss Lifesaver for:

I am so thankful that I took a Responsive Classroom course last summer.  I really enjoy the whole Morning Meeting routine.  So far, that's the one thing that has stuck with me, and it really helps to create a strong sense of classroom community.

I am also thankful that I still have a "real" phone in my house.  I actually still answer and call on my land line.  Within the near future, house phones will be relics.  Life has really progressed and changed tremendously since I was born in 1960, and I'm thankful that I've been able to enjoy and appreciate all the new technology.

Last, but not least, I'm very thankful and proud that I went spinning tonight because it is the first week of daylight savings so it is dark so early.  On top of the darkness, it is raining.  It was difficult to leave my cozy house, but I did it.

That's all for tonight!

  1. Yay! Thanks so much for linking up! I'm amazed that you still use a land line. Just last week, my students were asking me, "What are those phones called that are stuck in the house?" I laughed so hard! And kudos to you for getting to the gym when it's extra hard to find the motivation. I hear a glass of red wine helps too! ;)
