Here are my students doing a variation of the Daily Five. In addition to Work on Writing, Read with a Friend, Word Work, and Listen to Reading, I added a Math Center. We do Read to Self altogether at the same time on the rug - even I read while the kids read.
Here's my question: do you follow The Daily Five or do you adapt it to your own needs?
