Currently ~ November Has Arrived!

Happy First Day of November!  It's time to join Anne in Residence and Julie from A Hopeful Hood for:

Realizing

I'm realizing how fast time flies.  I broke my wrist about nine weeks ago ~ days before school started.  I went from a cast/splint hybrid to a heavy-duty cast to a splint that I can now take off while I'm at home.  Of course, my almost-healed wrist is more sore now, and my good hand is tired, but I'm moving in the right direction in such quick time!

For Halloween, we needed to dress as book characters, and I managed to recreate Clementine:

Stirring

I can actually prepare meals again!  Tonight I made turkey chili, and now I have delicious leftovers!

Appreciating

Right now I've managed to catch yet another cold which has led to laryngitis which makes me appreciate my voice and how important it is to my teaching job.

Investigating

I need a new four-slice toaster.  Check out this $200 option from Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/Smeg-TSF02PKUS-Retro-Aesthetic-Toaster/dp/B01EHPISLG/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1509375306&sr=8-2-spons&keywords=smeg+pink+toaster&psc=1&smid=A2ENTBEZKGXKVW
I love this toaster, but I can't justify spending such as exorbitant amount on a toaster.  My husband and I popped into a Williams-Sonoma to see one of these toaster in real life, and there was a Wolf version that cost $400.  Does anyone know why a toaster would cost so much money?  Is it really worth that much money?

Following.

I love the house and other clipart from Pretty Grafik Design on Etsy or on Teachers Pay Teachers.

Happy November!

    1. Thanks, Lauren. Every day my voice is somewhat better. I do love the pink toaster, but you probably have to pay the big bucks for that color.

  2. My teaching moments without a voice are the ones I look back on and laugh at the most! (I taught high school!) I hope your wrist is 100% ASAP and your voice too!

    1. Of course, Halloween is the day my voice went down the drain, and the kids were off the wall. I'm glad you survived high school without a voice - Yikes! Thanks for the well wishes!

    1. Hi Julie. Tomorrow is my last day of occupational therapy, and then my wrist will feel better - she really pushes my wrist - a lot! Great co-hosting job!

  4. Ohhh but that toaster is so cute! But then again I'm always a sucker for the cute option that turns out to be the most expensive...

  5. I wonder if you could spray paint a cheap metal toaster a similar color. For that price, it would have to make my breakfast and clean up the kitchen! Ha!

Hope you get over your cold and laryngitis soon!

    1. Hi Amber! I actually ordered a toaster on Wayfair for a fraction of the price of the pink toaster (although I still do LOVE the pink one!) Thanks for visiting my blog!
